Analysis

We use various cookies and technologies on our website to analyze visitor behavior, such as the length of time spent on our website. We use the services of Google Analytics for this analysis.

Google Analytics collects and stores visitor data such as IP address, time of visit, referrer URL and information about your browser and operating system. Google stores this data for a maximum of 14 months. The collected data may be summarized by Google in a profile that is assigned to you or your device.

More information about our use of Google Analytics is available in our Data Privacy Notice.

We would like to inform you explicitly that the collected data will be transmitted to the United States if you consent to this process.

The legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR (consent).

You can change your settings at any time. More information about Google Analytics and its data privacy is available at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies

Marketing

We use the conversion tracking feature of LinkedIn to better customize our advertising offers and campaigns. This conversion tracking is enabled by the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Your data will be pseudonymized by LinkedIn within seven days and deleted within 180 days. The personal data collected is not shared with us, we only receive anonymous reports on the demographics of our target audience and the performance of our ads.

Your data will only be transmitted after your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

More information about LinkedIn Conversion Tracking is available in our Data Privacy Notice.

Boosting innovation through a cloud-driven data migration

Automotive

Project in a nutshell

  • Future secured with the Cloud. On-premises software has its perks—but flexible scaling and always-up-to-date apps aren’t among them. Moving data to the cloud unlocks major advantages and sets the course for the future.

The Customer Need

  • Three wins in one move. Our client runs over 1,000 Microsoft SharePoint sites and apps. Hurrah! That made this migration a triple opportunity: to reduce hardware, cut costs, and optimize existing processes.

Challenges & Extra Miles

  • Devil’s in the detail. In digital projects, the true effort is often only visible once you're in the thick of it - like in heart surgery, complications often show up when you’re deep inside. That’s why a methodical approach is key: assess and define the scope. Knowing nearly all hardware would be removed, we needed full assessments of every SharePoint site. We worked closely with site owners to understand functionality and operational usage - a challenging task. Complex, nested data packages required standardization, and preparing the target environment meant coordinating multiple departments.

Migration-Strategy

  • Two-phase approach. Established tools like ShareGate are a big plus—they enable efficient, secure migrations based on proven standards. Legacy systems that were no longer viable or barely used were scrutinized. All other applications were first migrated to SharePoint On-Prem 2016 before their final move to the cloud. All of this happened without interrupting operations.

Technical Solution

  • Keep it simple. Data migrations tend to spiral into complexity. But our team is great at breaking down processes and stripping away the noise. That strength paid off. Together with the client, we quickly defined and built the migration path.

Technical Milestones

  • 1.
Conducted test migration runs for iterative quality checks
  • 2.
Built approval workflows in MS Cloud using Power Automate Flows
  • 3.
mplemented flows in MS Power Platform for complexity and security reasons

Big

Wins

  • Solid decision-making foundation. Informed decisions are the only real ones. We added key metrics that helped light the way - enabling project leads to act fast and make the right calls.
  • 1
    6 TB of data migrated
  • 2
1.200 site collections moved to the cloud
  • 3
180 sites deleted, freeing up resources
  • 4
25 % of the data migrated six months before the deadline

Small Victories

  • 1
Strengthened innovation capability No cloud, no progress. That about sums up digital transformation. This move to the cloud was a major milestone for our client—and the foundation for future innovation.
  • 2
Delivered on time & on budget We value reliability—and deliver what we promise. The client benefited from a smooth project flow that stayed within the planned budget.
  • 3
Deepened strategic partnership Having a trusted partner at the helm when you step out of the control room? Priceless. Trust and transparency were the backbone of this evolving partnership.
